Roxette – Brisbane Concert – 14th of February 2012 – Slideshow

Roxette kicked off their sold out Australian Tour in Brisbane, yesterday, for a special Valentines Day concert. 10,500 fans attended the Brisbane Entertainment Centre concert. Marie Fredriksson was in fine voice, she really let it rip to a standing ovation.

Marie was struck serious medical problems which she overcame through strength of will, friends and Per Gessle. At one point after the brain surgery Marie couldn’t even speak for weeks; art helped her stem her frustrations. At the beginning of the diagnosis Marie was given less than a 5% chance of surviving, let alone a full recovery. Reports say that Marie is still pretty fragile, which would not be suprising. The fans are grateful to have the gift of Marie Fredrikson.

You can look the old songs with this veil and some of them have taken new meaning, and I think sung with more gusto, it is hard to tell with such an energetic committed performance.

Valentines Day made it all even more special for the many couples attending, It Must Have Been Love, Listen To You Heart, Church Of Your Heart and many other classic and new songs.

I was at their last Australian Concert Tour, Crash Boom Bang, in January 1995 taking press images from the pit, this concert was very nostalgic for me.

There were two encores, ending with The Church of Your Heart, the people who left early to get to their cars missed out on the highlight of the concert. The two encores were superb, emotional and full of fellowship.

Roxette will be back in Brisbane on the 24th of February for a second show. They are playing in Sydney on the 16th of February, see local guides and ticket sellers for other cities and dates.

If you can get a ticket, just get one, worth 3 times the price.

The weather has played havoc with house photography so far this year, It looks like we may be getting the sun back.

One of the jobs  we had was rescheduled 4 times, it finally did get photographed, finally the house could go to market.

Real Estate Photographer – First house for 2012

The weather forecast said rain all week, so we got in a did this twilight shoot.

The weather held, it stated to rain at 7pm when we were leaving. Phew, just got it done.

The rest of last week was a bit wet, so we have more houses to photograph this week.

I wish they would stop reporting doom a gloom, as we are looking at 2 more rate cuts in the next few months, great for the housing market.

We would like to wish all of our sales agents great success this year.

This will be a positive year.

We have been very busy this week, most of us take this as the first official week back at work.

Yesterday I assembled cardboard house shaped desk calendars, for our Open2View Real Estate Photography clients.

Today I was in Paddington dropping in on all the fantastic Real Estate Agents, saying hello for the New Year and giving them all some calendars.

And it is so hot and humid, ewwww.

I will see the rest of my agents this week at some stage, with a few free calendars.

I really enjoy photographing houses as it uses some of my dusty artiste’ skills that rattle around in my head somewhere, LOL.

We photographed the fantastic folks from Terex and Genie Australia, they make cranes and lifting platforms. This was there 2011 Christmas celebration night. A great night was had by all, they had their fun in the Ballroom at Victoria Park Golf in Brisbane. There was even a visit by Santa, who handed out all the lucky door prizes.
